Summer is here, and Hawks Cay Resort is thrilled to welcome back kids to embark on another journey at Camp Hawk. The iconic property invites campers to another season filled with learning, exploring, and adventure. Camp Hawk provides an environment where children can flourish and have lifelong memories with a staff of experienced counselors and thoughtfully designed programs.

Currently running from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children aged five to 12 are welcome to join the Camp Hawk family. This year, Camp Hawk has debuted extended hours for morning care, while the afternoon will offer sports activities for older kids.

For each day of the camp season, a new unique lesson plan is crafted with a different theme for each day, ensuring that campers’ time is not only fun and exciting but also educational and enriching. Activities include:

Dolphin Day
On Mondays, campers leave the classroom and visit the Dolphin Connection observation deck to learn more about these special creatures.

Something Fishy
This program will be held on Tuesdays. Campers get to visit the Marina, feed the tarpon and nurse sharks, as well as engage in some entertaining and hands-on activities that teach them about fish and other aquatic life in the Keys.

Mermaid vs. Pirates
This program will be held on Wednesdays. For a day, campers can transform into mermaids and pirates. Along with making mermaid tails and pirate hats, campers will go hunting for treasure.

Rockin’ Reefs
Held on Thursdays, Camp Hawk has partnered with I.CARE for Rockin Reef Day. I.CARE is an organization committed to revitalizing the coral reefs of Islamorada, engaging locals, businesses, and visitors in coral restoration efforts through activities like coral transplanting and debris clean-ups.

Fun in the Sun
Hosting revolving activities each week, campers will enjoy outdoor fun with afternoons full of summer-themed crafts, team activities, and possibly even a few water-balloon fights.

Rainy Days
Mornings are dedicated to rainy days, with indoor time including science, art, storytelling, games, and movies. Camp Hawk is designed to provide a well-rounded experience promoting creativity and imagination through the wonders of the Florida Keys.
